Center of Excellence Process

  •  Join as an Affiliated Hospital of AIMIS: $7500 per year which includes a site visit, annual renewal $4700
  •  Hospital must have an a Physician Champion or Accredited AIMIS member. Click here to find out more about becoming     an AIMIS member .
  •  Complete Data Collection
  •  Clinical Review by AIMIS Clinical Advisory Board.
  •  Review of application and award is made.

Once established as a COE, annual updates on data collection must be conducted for review.

 

Center of Excellence Criteria

•Department Adoption Rate of 40% MIS or Higher
•Complication Rate <8%
•Conversion Rate: <10%
•Readmission Rate:<5%

 

Academic Center of Excellence Criteria

•Department Adoption rate of 40%  MIS or Higher
•Complication Rate: <8%
•Conversion Rate: < 10%
•Readmission Rate:<5%
•In addition, these centers must provide surgical training technology development and research activities.
